i used to archive porn on my spare time like collecting them than i deleted it all, since i was too not safe to work with people around me all the time. i did that mostly to kill time than i switched to collecting movies. I had 47.3TB of porn at some point on my nas trust me that's not a lot when it comes to collecting stuff, some websites complete archive range from 100TB for a single studio. i used to be one of top seeders on empornium.

i'm poor, i can't afford paying 50 bucks minimum for any movie when minimum wage is 350 400 bucks so i cope by buying hard drives and storing remuxes or raw discs of blu-rays.
I keep them organized and on a spreadsheet i have about 1100 western 400 japanese movies categorized by spec name quality and size, i really take my time with it doing by hand remuxing if i need clearing up garbage and making it all neat. many more unsorted. I keep hoarding and making my hands occupied to kill time.
I gotta stop reading anything with romantic content in it. It'll just make me rage.

exactly i don't really watch stuff no more never did actually i just like collecting but when i watch stuff i can't help my notice minor details i think it might be because i have a tv as monitor and it dosent have oled or something where hevc x265 could be better. i found out that AV1 is actually better than any hevc x265 10bit compression. i couldn't notice a difference at all from a remux and the size is surprisingly small for that lvl of quality. its not a 1:1 but its up there.that's crazy. I don't like hevc but can't imagine not taking advantage of some compression at least, it's very efficient
