How many "crazy" people out there are in fact highly conscious?

I hung out with a crackhead once. The guy had a sharp mind. He was not what you would expect from a person in his situation and he was very aware of how everyone around perceived him, which leads me to wonder how many people out there judged as lunatics by society are in fact highly conscious and lucid.

Maybe some of the vagabonds you walk past at night are more awake to reality than most people that go to work every day and watch television.

Last time i was in the psychiatry there were two doctors of medicine and one physicists among the people. One was even a surgeon lol.

I could sit down to have a conversation with some members of the underground and become more enlightened than if I did the same with many people from the educated upper class.

The word I'm using is not intelligent, it's conscious. There are reasonably intelligent people in all classes, but some of the most conscious/aware people I've ever met were to be found in the places you least expected to find these people in.
