Discussion How isolated are you?

Been isolated my entire life. Never had that much of a relationship with family, got taken out of school (not my fault), no friends, just talk to my mother mostly, my brother and sisters i say a few words to every year. That's it.

I was thinking about something related to this recently.

Often I consider living somewhere more isolated and quiet. A cabin in the middle of nowhere like in Breaking Bad (last few episodes I think it was), a quiet house or apartment, maybe a pet or two, etc etc.

And at first it makes me feel kinda nice.

But then when I think back to how much more social my life used to be when I was younger, I feel sad imagining such a life.

I think I really do need a fairly good social life to be happy. I don't think it matters WHERE I live or exactly who those friends are as long as we get along well. I do miss my old friends from when I was younger but sometimes people do just drift away.
