Or as based Hamudi put it, “Your basement is a genetic prison”. From our physical appearance to out cognitive ability, we are limited by our genes. How does one cope with the idea that they have control over nothig? While I agree that using this knowledge as a crutch can create a self-fulfilling prophecy, and can be used to absolve yourself of any individual responsibility, determinism is obviously a real thing that exists independently of our optimistic views of free will. For me at least, knowing this has actually improved my mental state. I used to feel guilty about not achieving certain goals due to a perceived lack of effort on my part, an idea imparted on me from the bootstrap mentality I have been socialized to adopt from a young age. The black pill has helped realize that nothing is my fault. Everything was predetermined from birth. From my DNA to the environment I was raised in, I had no control over any of it. This post is a bit all over the place, but think I’ve conveyed the main idea. How have you coped with the fact that you are a slave to your genetics and environment? Or do you use this fact as a crutch?

Be a slave to god instead. Works for me

>cope
>find satisfaction in self-attained goals
>find ludacris ways of ascending
>rope

For me it's trying to Dharmamaxx.

The eight worldly concerns or eight worldly dharmas (Skt. aṣṭalokadharma; P. aṭṭhalokadhamma; T. འཇིག་རྟེན་ཆོས་བརྒྱད་, ‘jig rten chos brgyad) are a set of worldly or mundane concerns that generally motivate the actions of ordinary beings who are lacking in a spiritual perspective.[1] They are:

  • hope for happiness and fear of suffering,
  • hope for fame and fear of insignificance,
  • hope for praise and fear of blame,
  • hope for gain and fear of loss;
Preoccupation with these concerns is said to lead to greater suffering. Spiritual practitioners are encouraged to let go of their attachment to these concerns.

Good cope

You try to not do things that remind you about your bad genetics

there is no peace, only cope

Alcohol and drugs

By making other people your slaves with money

The only way to cope is by not caring to a certain degree. You have to let go of certain goals and ideals that, when used to measure your own progress, will make you feel like a failure. You need to accept your limits and learn to use them as a measure of how far you've come rather than using other people's limits. If you judge yourself using other people's lifestyles you'll likely only achieve a feeling of inferiority. Instead just look at each small piece of progress you make as a large achievement in its own right and savor these achievements as much as possible.

Failing that, try drugs and hentai.
