How is it if you change your pfp, it changes the PFP on every single one of your old posts, threads, conversations and chat? Shouldn't it only apply to the newer posts and stuff, how does it change everything. I am curious, techcels explain this.
It changes everything, even old posts. It would only work the way you described (only new posts) if this was a static website from the 90's.

The profile pic associated with your account, not the post. So when it loads your account it loads your current pic.
