I want to be one of those bicyclists or skiers who does those huge jumps on ramps and gets the appraise of many. But I instinctively stay away from dangerous things. Are they just wired differently?
I’d imagine this is a scenario in which nurture takes the wheel. We as a species are heavily influenced by loss aversion but some instincts can be overridden by social conditioning, wether that be on a small or national level
