As far as ai know they are shut in and don't go to university or work. How do they afford their copes then? I don't think Japan has a welfare system too. Do they depend on their old parents? Like us third worlders do?

@Kina Hikikomori

They live with their parents or grandparents. Also they have developed welfare in Japan.

Japan does not have a European-style welfare system, but they do have universal healthcare, so there's that.
Yes, old parents often support them

That's as far as I know, tbh

Afford to neet? It's a parasitic lifestyle, you don't afford it you just lay there and get what you can. Do you think neets all live like bill gates or some shit.

It's a paradox, it can often be an oxymoron, I agree.

The hikikomori is NEET, works and doesn't study, but is isolated.

NEET depends, it doesn't work or study, but depending on the case it's just a normie who comes out normally.

So do you have NEETBUXX in Japan?

This is not social assistance in the usual format, in fact it is organizations and newspapers that invade your home if your parents sign a contract to admit you, this is “social assistance”. :feelskek::feelskek:
