How do i "search"??

I recently got approved by "mods" so my "account" is new...but i was wondering how many "posts" do you have to make to access the search "functionality" because i am more of a reader than a "poster" and it is impossible to find certain "threads" without the search bar.....so i want to know about the threshold.
