If my dad knew that I was bullied throughout my entire life he would have probably been truly ashamed and disappointed in me.

It probably feels like you are being bullied yourself. Your pathetic offspring is being disrespected and treated like a lesser human being it probably feels like you're the one that is going through this.

You recognize that your genetics have failed and raised a pathetic coward.

This is one of the many reasons why I would never open up to my dad about my secret life.
It would absolutely destroy him.

Father's are not like mothers he would understand for all you know he was bullied too to answer hed probably pity you and that's about it maybe get a little upset

He would pretend that he understands but deep down he would be deeply ashamed and humiliated by your cowardice.

Ignore or fall out love ig

Mine was at work in other countries in Europe almost all my life so he never gave a fuck about it. Mother told me to ignore the bullies and they will stop :feelskek:

Kinship bonds change emotions a father wouldn't see it that way wether it's true or not

Earlier this year, dad told me I gotta make at least a single friend. I didn't think much of it. Then weeks later (that's how often I see him) he told me he felt bad for telling me that, an I had forgotten all about it. So he thought about some comment I didn't even take offense to for weeks. It's kinda sweet. I wish he was more of a father figure than a friend figure to me, he was very passive in my upbringing.

Mine told me to just "ignore" it and if I fought back I got in trouble.

Mine had no idea and sometimes told me how lucky I have to have such "easy life", but then also teased me a few times about having no friends, so overall I really dunno what he even knew or realized.

But in general, parents tend to be completely clueless what their children's lives are like.

Fathers of bullying victims were probably not strong males in their youth either, so they usually don't know how to respond to such situations.
