I think they met because they lived at the same apartment place and mom was having car trouble. That was in the 1970s when people met their spouses at their apartment buildings, grocery stores, church, etc. Also women would settle for looksmatches or even lower especially if the guy was taller than her and had money/status and also because there was pressure for women to marry and have a kid especially if they were age 25+.

Honestly, I think you are up to something. I have done of these online autism detection tests ages ago, and while I didn't score super high, I believe I might be mildly on the spectrum. However, I wouldn't be surprised if most incels are at least midlly autistic.
That's a very relatable experience. I think we can come off as socially autistic without actually having a neurological disorder. Personally I think it comes down to how you were socialized throughout your childhood where a lot of underdeveloped social skills can lead to a lack of empathy, confidence, and status.
