how did expedition 33 win goty?

so i bought it around six months ago for 80 FUCKING DOLLARS as my first physical game on a ps5 (turned out to be a big mistake) honestly dont know what people find in this game, the story is good tbh, everything else is mid af especially the turn based combat is so shitty, i dont get how ppl enjoy this game but then again maybe its not for me idk, still in my opinion this game is not that good for dudes to be jizzing all over it. after 6 months im halfway through act 2 still unable to finish the game. now who i think should have won it? i think either kcd2 or death stranding 2, i found both games 10x better than mid 33. anyways i'd like to hear ur guys thoughts.

Octopath 0 was basically on par with it so it's nothing special honestly. I think the game awards just wanted to please fans and have a safe drama free year.
