I've been playing chess mostly online for over two decades. A very enjoyable game indeed.
That's literally it. The pandemic also helped. Normies were stuck at home so they learned chess after watching the show.

I've still only seen nerds play chess in the case of males. Watching 2-3 clips of foids playing chess on Youtube doesn't mean it's been normified
