They're definitely not the same but I understand what you're getting at. Short answer: I have no fucking clue. Some theorize:
1. God made things random and chaotic cuz it's more interesting this way.
2. We're expendable extras so as long as the system is sorta running well enough or the main characters (like Chad) are thriving than that's fine (missing a couple pawns=whatever to indifferent God)
3. Those who follow Abrahamic religions often themselves can't precisely explain why God allows this degree of suffering (there's obviously the free will lacks merit without freedom to commit evil idea but idk if that explains why things have to be this fucking bad and why human nature is this fucking warped) and say u need faith that God has a plan or wisdom u cannot grasp in full.
Either way imo just cuz the intelligent entity/entities involved in creation may not be what u want them to be doesn't mean they don't exist. God is not obligated to make ur life easy like I'm not obligated to fix up broken games I made in the past.

The net electric charge of the universe is zero. Matter and anti-matter cancel out each other into nihility (zero). Every single physical dichotomy of the universe in the end cancels out to zero. (The sole exception to this is the matter-antimatter asymmetry which is a huge mystery in classical physics). Nothing is "made". It's all zero. Energy is neither created nor destroyed, it just gets converted to different forms in accordance with measurable laws (at least on the macroscopic scale). Everything is just random atoms flying around, there is no divine providence nor intelligent design.
Now as for "what" "started" this massive dance of energy in first place, what is the "origin" of this energy, what was the "first cause"...these are complex, multifaceted questions science is still working on answering. And let's just say that quantum mechanical models suffice for me as adequate explanation without resorting to fanciful braindead assumptions about some anthropocentric sky daddy intentionally crafting the universe as some "game" or whatever. The fact that morons like the religious fags resort to wild mental gymnastics to justify this arbitrary belief of theirs is the chief symptom of human arrogance. The universe does not revolve around you, lil bro. There is no sky daddy who has a "purpose" or "plan" for you in his "game". You are on your own in an apathetic universe which is random and deterministic at the same time and does not care two figs about your existence.
