It's a game with:
Outdated combat system (turn based IS outdated. Period. It was decently good till earyl 2000's when processors needed a less engaging system but today it's just lame and ridicolous)

Badly scaled combat system (they even admitted not really designign the parry that well)

Boring ass mechanics with a tunnel like progression where you have zero interaction with NPCs and zero exploration. Plus you basically have to repeat the same combat with the same dyanmics, the same combos and the same visuals ad nauseam

Kinda annoying flamboyant landscapes that feel like they want to badly larp as elder ring

It overall starkly gives you the feeling of being into a videogame (like everything is so repetitive and tunnel-like you somehow realize you are inside a coded fiction)

By the way i actually think this game may be enjoyable if you like the genre or get into the story, i am not in need to fully destroy it or to completely throw it in the trash bin however to call it a masterpiece only shows how shitty the game industry overall is such that a slightly better more interesting game can get this ridicolous amount of praise

The fact that it is obviously designed for older consoles and processors as i said. Today is just nostaliga fueled stuff since any dynamic which would require ideally a Turn based can be done better in a normal real time combat (look at inquisition for character switching inside a semi-real time combat for example)

I uninstalled it after 20mins as optimization was as always dogshit on mid end gpu. You need at bare minimum rtx 4080 and 4k screen to play modern gayming at stable 60fps and have good image clarity and i can't afford nor i want to play them anymore.

I think not, there are some women protagonist but they don't seem to be the woke type. Also a lot of people hate woke shit, so i don't think it would be so high regarded if that were the case. But as i said before i did not play it just saw clips of it

I don't think this was some random indie game, someone really big was behind this.
In the surface it would seem that it was being praised individually by a lot of people, but in depth there were definitely tons of paid agents doing it. Never mind the mandatory youtuber/influencer shilling, but seeing the game being constantly spammed on sites like 4kike-chan made it even more obvious.
