Serious How can I get anti-depressants in UK without seeing a GP?

I get extremely anxious whenever I go to the doctor's or anything related to that matter, I even dodge calls from my local GP practice because I get too anxious to answer them.

Now I'm basically running out of copes and I am willing to try prescription drugs to help me with my anxiety/depression.

You can take St. John's Wort 300-900 mg per day. It's available over the counter and proven just as effective as prescription antidepressants in mild to moderate depression. Just buy a good brand if you do since health products are usually not well regulated and you don't want to get bunk. Also it interacts with a lot of other meds so may not be best if you're on other stuff.

I take this stuff sometimes when I'm stressed. Works pretty well. You're supposed to take it every day but I just take it for a few days here or there when needed because most of the time I'm fine.
