Isn't Belarus a radiation wasteland?

Chernobyl particles landed in the country mostly.

Too poor to move out.
But I think after 40 years and millions of slavs absorbing the radiation it should be safer now.

it also has a" do not travel" rating on travel advisory due to the russian war but as long as you keep your head down ,i'm sure you'd be fine

I would love to move to some village in Belarus. Simple life of growing cabbage and drinking with babushkas.

But in reality being an outsider, learning the language (Russian has insane grammar and almost no cognates), and dealing with visas and neo-Soviet government would be a huge struggle.

Just get sent to Ukraine bro

Communist and former communist countries have cheap houses, and high rates of home ownership.

This is due to land reforms and getting rid of private property.

You could buy 5 apartments there for the price of one in Cuckada... learning Russian asap

I suspect you could also find similarly cheap properties in other countries with dying rural areas such as Japan or Italy as well.
However, the problem is finding work.
