I had my reservations about this show, but decided to give it a try and I'm liking it. Yes, there are feminist themes, but they're not ridiculous the way Marvel does it, thankfully.
Spoilers below:
Two foids are the central characters, former best friends but now enemies. One of them, Rhaenyra, is a slut, but she's a princess and gets away with being slut because her father the king has no spine. She rides the carousel during her youth and even flirts with her uncle, but eventually settles and marries a Chad-lite faggot from a noble family to keep up appearances, but still continues to fuck other guys, gets pregnant with a Chad that's not her husband, has kids with him. The kids clearly resemble her Chad lover, but her faggot husband doesn't care and everyone in the castle knows but don't dare say anything.
The other main foid is Alicent. She gets married off Rhaenyra's father (who is about 30 years older than she is). She eventually gives him three kids (and they are his, all three look like the dad). Alicent is loyal and traditional, the exemplary mother and wife, in contrast to slutty Rhaenyra.
Guess who normie viewers see as the villain??? Yup, upright, dutiful loyal wife Alicent. Had our society been more sane, most viewers would side with Alicent, but not in these proud-to-be-a-whore times
In one scene, Alicent blows up on Rhaenyra and tells her she got away with everything all her life, and Rhaenyra's gaslighting comeback is 'you've been hiding under that righteousness', implying that people who follow the rules are phony
Overall it is a pleasant surprise of a show, and it also has some pretty cool dragon CGI, and way better than the Rings of Power
