Yea, this is why I think the Old Testament doesn't fit with the rest of Christianity. If you interpret it from christian lenses, it makes no sense. But if you interpret it from jewish ones, it makes alot of sense.

It's basically Christianity, but without the bullshit and actually tackles these issues. It says the god from the Old Testament is not the ultimate God that Christ was preaching about. Instead an imperfect god called the Demiurge that made this imperfect physical world for our suffering and Christ was sent by the true God to save us through gnosis which means "knowledge". You should definitely look into it. It actually has an interesting philosophy.
