As we all know, all men posses an X and Y chromosome. But as it turns out, the Y chromosomes of all men on earth is a patrilineal inheritance from a single common ancestor whom we all share. Geneticists refer to this ancient ancestor of our as "Y-Chromosomal Adam" (YCA).
He's believed to have lived somewhere in Africa and is estimated to have lived somewhere between 160,000 - 300,000 years ago (which coincides with the time frame that anatomically modern humans are said to have evolved which is roughly 200,000 years ago.)
Now, you may be wondering: "How does the fact that this man is the common ancestor of all living humans make him a Chad?"
Think about it...
There certainly were plenty of other men who were alive at the exact same time as YCA who were apart of the same tribe that he was and who even had children of their own. So if this is the case, then why is it that we've all got YCA's genes and not that of those other men? It's because YCA fucked. A lot.
YCA may have been a chieftain with several concubines which allowed him to propagate his genes at a higher rate than his contemporaries or he was a serial rapist. Either way, he was likely more masculine, aggressive and dominant than the majority of the men of his time to be able to have had such a sexual monopoly as to be the forefather of billions of people.
