I think the number of dots represents the number of sides of the shape.

I was wondering about that but dismissed it cause 1 wasn't mirrored in the same way the rest were but it could be a case that it doesn't matter where the dotted line is and it's just meant to represent the number sides as you said

I don't think it's 5 because it's not reflected properly, so I think 1 is the best option.

I was gonna say yeah you're right, the line would have to be diagonal for it to be reflected in 5 now that I look at it. I'll keep my answer as 5 regardless because I didn't really figure it out myself

yeah these kinds of questions usually appear at the very end of the tests with barely any time. still its interesting to see who can solve it with much longer time limits as it still indicates good ability to problem solve
