No im not saying u can save up massive amounts in a year from a shitty job, but 5 figures at least is doable. Its all about being money wise
Mind you, I'm not bad at budgeting etc and I don't understand spenders who live above their means or with lots of credit card debt but on a minimum wage like 25K you can't save anything if you have rent to pay and utilities/groceries or if you live with your parents they'll also want you to contribute so it's not even worth slaving at all unless it pays enough to no longer earn the basement dweller label.
Saving 50K a year was apparently a typo of the user I quoted but 5K a year, although very feasible on an average wage means you won't change your life either. With actually 50K a year you could do some serious property investing or something.
