Heroes and villains by metro booming was the best album released in 2022

Yeah, it was pretty good. Metro Boomin’s potent, nocturnal, consistently high quality and ambitious production still hits hard as ever nearly a decade into his legendary career, even if this album sticks to the prototypical trap formula. The presentation is cinematic enough to elevate it above the mind numbing soullessness of the state of the genre in 2023, if only by a little. The Weeknd’s track is the best on the album, with Young Thug’s coming in close second. Things kind of take a dip afterwards because we get more incessant helpings of Travis Scott, who is by far the weakest link as far as features go. ASAP Rocky’s track was whatever, and there are certainly some duds, but overall, it‘s a solid curation from Metro

Agree everything except weekend’s track being the best. It was legit good but ngl 21 savage shouldn’t have been there for it as a feature in that track and the lyrics sounded quite basic.

But the other song of 21 savage with Sampha was the 2nd best song on the album with “too many nights” by don toliver being the best and then, future’s song super heroes being third

The most perfect song overall was by 21 savage and Sampha. It was such a perfect blend of gangsta and slow melody by Sampha after the beat switch.

Travis is a great artist but tbh, he could have done better and other artists here like Future, 21 and Don actually mogged him in the album
