There may not be a specific reason for certain traits except to maximize genetic variety. Many of these traits may die out with time after such guys with those traits aren't as successful in passing on their genes but it's more likely that these vestigial traits will remain and screw over some guys well into the future. Just another cruelty of life and randomness tbh
