I'm from the caribbean, in a development country obviously.
And I've been stemcelling.
Like a year ago, for the first time, a scholarship opened to give financial aid to stem cells, I went to apply to the scholarship, and the first requirement, I kid you not, was this:
"This scholarship is for women in stem only"
I of course, was pissy, then went on the Facebook page, and tried not to go full force and said:
"If you want to help women in stem, why not make it 60/50 for men and women, it's the first scholarship I've seen for Stem students, and considering how empty the sciences faculties are, we would greatly benefit from encouraging both men and women"
And even though it was a normal consideration, i got harassed by those feminist males (????)
And when I checked their profiles, they weren't even stem students!
This is very unfair and there is nowhere to vent :/
And this is a pretty conservative country, I can't imagine what will the future hold, when we get fully westernized
