So, a cosmic omnipotent personification of a Jew will torture me for eternity if I don't obey him and endure suffering he created for me.
Christians really like to portray their Lord as an omniscient being of infinite wisdom, when in reality, his behavioural patterns resemble that of a human ruler. If the Lord is literally omniscient, then surely he would transcend things like coercion and be more understanding of the well-being of his subjects. Imagine a society where law-abiding citizens are tortured because they don't praise the government. It sounds crazy, doesn't it? Yet, that's our universe, according to the Judeo-Christian God.
The most confusing part is that not all Christians agree to the same principles. To some, all law-abiding citizens will be rewarded. To others, government praising criminals will be rewarded. Some have third ideas.
The Pagan gods don't behave like this. Óðinn, Svasterilised, Jupiter etc. are mythical and mysterious beings. They do not threathen non-believers with eternal torture. Also, they do not promote submission, a.k.a. turning the other cheek, which most Christians ignore anyway.
Before you tell me about "traditional Christian values", keep in mind that in the Middle Ages, brightest children were forcefully taken into monasteries to be practically sterilised. Men were drafted into the Crusades, which were a failure and did nothing but create more widows. Christianity is not anti-degeneracy; the anti-degeneracy was stolen from Paganism when Pagan temples were leveled with the ground.
