In my native language, we use a very similar word for afroamericans (is there any other pc word for those who r not americans btw?).

It almost sounds like the offensive N word. However new wave identifies it as discriminatory now, the rest of society do not consider it offensive. However I'm eastern european, only very few people live here who have african ancestry.

I learned that this word was offensive when my english teacher corrected me when i was saying that "Michael Jordan is a former "N" basketball player". It was around the age of 15 I guess, now I'm in my late 20s....

I personally don't use the N word here because I don't wanna hurt anyone, but I'm more empathetic than the most...

If you are a blackcel here, I think you should cope with it, at least on this forum.
