I don't believe you can have genuine friends as a truecel. Maybe in your childhood when there are less social hierarchies, but in your teenage and adulthood, I don't see the point. As an ugly guy no one takes you seriously and everything you do or say is a reason to mock you. Also never jestermaxx, they laugh at you not with you. You have two options, being the punchbag of the group or being alone.

0 friends, few acquaintances. I understand why someone would though, it's quite suffocating being alone and I can imagine even tasting a bit of friendship makes the loneliness 10x more unbearable. Luckily(or unlikely) for me, I never had the experience of an actual friend so I don't have to experience it to that extent but it's still so tiring to live like this.

Do adult men even have friends? When I became an adult, my irl friends got girlfriends / married and wanted nothing to do with me anymore. Never had trouble making friends in childhood.

Same, my friends stopped talking with me when the became more sociable and found a girlfriend. Thats my point, if you haven't had friends as a teen and as a young man, you won't have as a grown adult.
