I've even used it on school wifi and as far as I know, I don't really think my friends (or at least I want to call them friends, but I only ever socially interacted irl back in school and I never connected with them over the internet or visited them, for all I know they might've forgotten about me or maybe I was just an aquaintance) had ever truly known, or maybe they didn't really care. I was completely fine either way.
