Life is definitely not a written script for a movie where protagonists eventually get a blinding light of hope after experiencing their suffering. When you're the ugly/uninteresting character both audience and the author want to keep you suffering the whole story cuz you deserve it. I've never been said anything positive my whole life that's too much for a human to experience that level of bleakness. Maybe it is just the way it is and just desensetized yourself to accept it.
