what i meant by this is 'the state' became the ultimate 'parents' to the kids and in case of foids their 'first husbands' too; thus making generations lesser and lesser responsible in parenting...you cannot discipline your kid with sticks (at least in the west) or else those fuckers in child protection bullshits would come over and snatch your own kids away - you cannot prevent lots of state enforced bullshits that easily without facing some consequences like say vaccinations and education = indoctrination and all

I'd say it's neither of those. Unmaintained patriarchy + feminism + sexual liberation is why the world is like it is now. We have traditional gender roles for men in place while women can pick and choose however they behave.
