Possibly, once I got lost in the forest and I saw an abandoned cabin. I wanted to go in to check does it has a phone but i was afraid that maybe some serial killer lives in. I approached it very carefully when I suddenly noticed an angry huge Rottweiler on very long chain, he didn't make a sound until I noticed him, he started sprinting at me but his chain was few meters short. If I went near door without thinking he would attack me for sure.

Besides keeping out of fights and dangerous situations, which is basically common sense, it stopped me from offing myself when I was on the edge a few times. I guess that counts.
