I'll probably check it out, but from what I've read it, the original webtoon at least, completely jumped the shark relatively early into its run and became just another generic webtoon about gang warfare or whatever.

Not really.
It's about a subhuman getting a beautiful new body and suddenly his life is worth living.
With his old body, he wouldn't have graduated because everyone hates him.
He barely even got his night job at the discount store because even men care about looks...
The series is ultra-blackpilled.
I give it 10/10 and was thrilled to see this masterpiece.

But the first episode was pretty good fat Ricecel gets bullied by chang and some Stacy’s and then he goes home and his mom who looks like a man makes him some noodles then he goes back to school and they kick balls at him
