Gaming Hardcore gamers weren't always right-wing

Believe it or not before 2014 your average hardcore gamer wasn't the stereotypical right wing chud it is today. Most gamers were apolitical and if they actually cared about politics they were usually centrists or even left-leaning (for 90s/2000s standards at least). In fact most of the opposition against videogames was from conservative Christian boomers who thought GTA and Pokèmon were the work of Satan.

It was only with GamerGate that leftists with their bitching about le sexism/racism in gaming managed to turn almost the entire demographic right-wing overnight

I actually went into assassin's creed shadows with an open mind (didn't play, just watched it on youtube) but without fail every DEI infected modern game is lower quality overall. no one gives a fuck when the gameplay is still prioritized (OW) but when the quality of the game is sacrificed to reallocate resources toward pushing an agenda (forcing u to play mary (sue) jane in spiderman 2 who has half-assed 3rd person shooter mechanics) or to creating high budget unskippable cutscenes (atreus' DEI relationship in GOW where u spend 30 minutes riding this creature with a black chick) it's tilting AF.

Right wing men were shut out of social spaces and recreational activities by women and SJWs so they retreated to entertainment within the confines of their desktop with video games. This was one space where they could enjoy themselves without being denigrated by self-righteous parasites like soys, foids, LGBTQ mutants, and jews. But alas, even this is gone now. Games are all feminized and woke today.
