There’s no hard work for your genes the genetically blessed don’t have to do anything besides exist and they’ll get further in life than a subhuman working hard for 10 years straight it’s all about genes and circumstances hard work is a nigger work.
In the modern day hard work is "usually" nonsense because one's efforts tend to be detached from the resulting reward.
For example, suppose you work in a corporation that you don't own. Most people even if they work very very hard won't get promoted (if for no other reason than because there are relatively few higher up positions and this becomes more true the higher you go) and getting those promotions typically will be more connection driven and the result of having the right relationship with the right people than being the best worker.
Even if you are the best worker there's no guarantee it will matter. If your boss doesn't like you then it's over. Some people buck this trend in that they are simply so productive and such good employees that the employer keeps them around but even then that's no guarantee of promotion and there can only be very small group of people in the top 5-10% of productivity.
In ancient history suppose I had a family and we moved out west. We build our own home in the woods, we plant crops, or we do our trade like smithing or whatever. Working hard in that case has a direct translation to how well you do. Or at least a more direct one.
One way to exhibit what I'm talking about today would be affirmative action hiring. My current boss was with the company for less than half the time I was before being promoted to a cushy position. I know for a fact that they literally do not do anything all day. Yet they're paid very well. So why did they get the job instead of someone more deserving? They were a minority woman in a white male dominated industry, that's the real reason. What you are basically matters more than anything you do at this point. There's also a couple troons where I work and they effectively cannot ever be fired so they don't have to do any work either.
Basically it's bullshit now and a lot of younger people know it especially if the system has burned us 100 times by now. I'm good at what I do, but I've never been promoted. Part of this is because I have zero relationship with the people that matter which wasn't even my choice -- women get exclusive meetings with the higher ups because they're women lmao. Did I get that? Nope. Part of it is because I'm bad at corporate politics that require you to dick suck people and indulge them when they're wrong. I dunno. Eventually I gave up and now I do the bare minimum because I realized there was no point in doing more. Hard work often goes unrewarded.
