Bin Laden was from a wealthy (((Saudi))) family and was literally trained by the US. They did it to create an excuse to spy on the people, to enrich the military industrial complex, to defend American commercial interests on the Middle East and to reaffirm the US as the world's (at the time) sole superpower, capable of military action worldwide in order to defend it's interests
9/11 was too of a gift to the US gov to be planned by an enemy
