My family and I don't usually celebrate the 4th of July, but since we were all at home today with nothing to do, we decided to celebrate it. We grilled up some burgers and filet mignon steaks, and we also made a few hotdogs. After devouring that delicious feast, we lit up about 20 fireworks. Now, as I'm typing this, I'm enjoying a homemade ice cream cake that my mother made for dessert. Tonight has been truly special—it's the first time in years that I've felt such a strong sense of family bonding.
