ok so what is all about
this game is done by ukrainian team, incredibly good people truly
they recreate authentic battlemaps, historically accurate weaponry and even OOB, accurate stats with a dedicated ingame feature ultradetailed ( not to mention they have contracts with armies )
the content is mainly about ww2 but there are several expansions about not well known conflicts and one fictional but believable scenario
it's truly addictive once one manages to overcome the initial learning curve
there are two interconnected layers in the game
this is the global operational map, turn based
this is an eyecatching overview, rts
You can do tons of things: play hystorical campaigns, set up your own quick battles, experiment ad libitum
my personal favorite is trying to overcome the challenges of some hystorical scenario on the eastern front, the most fun for me has been experiments to learn the various stuff around, especially magnificent is getting caught by surprise by some event during some night battle
a story: moving to position with my mechanized forces at night, storm enraging, zero visibility even with lights on, my scouts reported no contact whatsoever; out of frustration I decide to call in artillery flairs to have some info about the terrain around, minutes passes, then adjustment fire comes in; I was distracted reestablishing communications, forgot to alt the vanguard and in the middle of me evaluating the fucking order-delay feature , contact alarms start popping like crazy: 2\3 seconds and it's HELL.
