Serious good recording / editing software?

was using OBS (lol) but when i recorded some gameplay to test, part of the screen was cropped due to 2k resolution and it was very choppy (i think that's the word) when i watched it despite running at over 100 fps or something most of the time.

do i have to change the settings or is there something better i could use?

bandicam is good for recording but adds a watermark
