I’ve been going to the gym 3–5 days a week for almost 3 years now. It has not helped me build confidence or discipline .

The gym will only help you build confidence if your insecurities are tied to things the gym can change. For example, if your lack of confidence comes from being fat then the gym can change that.

If you were never insecure because of your body then the gym won’t help you.

The gym did not build discipline for me. I enjoy going to the gym. I think the majority of people that end up going to the gym consistently for multiple years enjoy going. They don’t go because they are disciplined. it’s fun for them.

I have not become more competent in other areas of my life because I can make progress in the gym. It doesn’t translate to other areas of my life.

My problems are caused by the fact I’m facially ugly and I’m not NT. The gym doesn’t fix either of these

:feelscry: I hate the gym

Does it build your muscles though?

The Gym can be useful in some ways but it's overall cope and won't help you ascend.

I have a noticeably good physique. I bench 225 for 5 reps. I always push myself and progressively overload.

I don’t get why this is hard for you to believe. Physical fitness is proven to increase wellbeing and happiness. Especially if you’re a truecel with nothing to look forward to

Being tall and good looking builds confidence and discipline is all that matters and nothing else does.

Mogs for being consistent and motivated
