How fucking stupid could I be thinking that getting a degree will guarantee me a job. Your GPA and degree is meaningless if you don't have experience/internships/previous jobs and the only way you can get those is by being able to interact normally with recruiters/other people. Yeah, I fucked up by not getting an internship while I was in school. Nobody told me I was supposed to be doing that, so after I graduated, I ended up stuck doing data entry for awhile, and then doing some temp work as an "accounting assistant" without a very clear path to becoming a staff accountant.

I'm trying to get internships, but unsuccessfully. Most people I know who have them got them through their connections
