Discussion Give Advice to a Potential Muslim Revert

As my username suggests, I was raised in a Christian family, but I have been considering reverting to Islam for some time now.

You can call it a cope, but I think that religion is an essential part of life, and it seems that Christianity will not offer me the salvation that I seek. Christianity, or any religion in general, in the Western sphere of influence, has been corrupted. In my country, it has been reduced to a form of superstition, and its adherents merely pray for material returns or ascension to heaven, while not practicing a traditional lifestyle or engaging with any of its philosophies. I, for one, don't believe that praying will help me get laid, or anything, and I don't expect it to. I just desire to live in a sane community, have a healthy social life, and perhaps even achieve some sort of spiritual awakening à la Soufisme.

Some questions that come to mind are: Do you think Islam is the way, or is it futile? Would it be possible for me to migrate to a Muslim country? (I am South Korean BTW.) If I do decide to revert, how can I get started?

I would appreciate advice from Muslim members. Thanks.

My honest advice as a non muslim: if islam is a good cope for you (it makes you not feel depressed) then pursue it, if you are just larping and want to get foids like Andrew Tate then look more into him and his history. Disregarding courtship, I think Muslim women are still more tolerable than their Western counterparts. I may as well leave my country for the sole reason of my hatred for Korean foids.

Islam may be a universalist religion in theory, but from what I learned, Muslims in practice are more exclusionary than others because of their family type: Endogamous communitarian. If true, I would applaud this, but it was also one of my concerns as well, since Muslim populations in general are quite distant from my ethnicity.

To be honest, I don't plan on becoming a Mujahid, not just because it may get me in legal trouble, but because I lost my romanticist perception of it. But I would say Iranian foids are still a bit better than you know noodelwho#r, and a lot of them do consume Korean media not that it will help bro, my advice is to travel to these countries. He can first start with Indonesia and the,Turkey Iran etc.....
