On a certain chatting app that I downloaded for school, but can also let you chat with random unrelated people through other channels, I had a very interesting convo recently. I posted about a joke about "colonizing" Filipinas and someone dm'd who claimed to be one. Now you can pretend to be anyone on that app, and you don't see how anyone looks. That means that (1) it could've been completely fake and (2) I'm not a fakecel for having this exchange.

It was an unusual chat for me and it became sexual eventually. This was probably one of the best online experiences of my life. At the end of it I gave my phone number in hopes of making a legitimate connection (I know, probably not that smart). But I woke up the next morning to find that she had not only not texted me, but left the chat, thereby deleting it for both of us. I was infuriated at the bait and switch. I don't think I will have those convos in the future because the aftermath of being ghosted is not worth any temporary enjoyment from suspension of disbelief.

Well as I said, nothing is 100% in that context. But I found nothing unconvincing about the dialogue throughout. Doesn't matter now anyway

I don't have that, but yeah, it was a bad idea.

What exactly I stand to lose though, is unclear. One benefit of not having much to begin with is that there simply isn't much to subsequently lose.
