Any of you guys have experience getting Adderall or something prescribed to you by your doctor? how would one go about it?

I have yes. Just go to a doctor and tell him you are confident you have ADD and you would like to see a psychiatrist. IN the mean time look up all the symptoms of ADD, most will not prescribe it right away. If he does not want to give you a prescription ask if you can use Strattera. Which is a non stimulant ADD/ADHD medication and non recreational. Just get the medication and when you see him next tell him all the shitty side effects it has, but it does help but you can not tolerate the side effects (Look up the sides if you are not actually taking it)
Then he will be probably be willing to give you the good stuff. If not, see a new Pdoc and repeat. It may take some time, it took me a few months but if you want it and do your homework, you will eventually get what you want.
Its probably because they put you on it when you were a kid, you developed a tolerance quickly also you are less likely to enjoy it as a kid/child. I took Concerta (ritalin) when I was 23 at 27 MGs and for me it was some strong ass medication. Very helpful
