Yeah I hear it from my dad a lot because he grew up in the 60s where it seems like you had to be a deformed psych-patient ready to murder someone at the drop of a hat to not get at least laid.

They could think they are sending positive vibes while you, if you are somewhat smart, notice the lie and think less of them without positive vibes. I recently visited my grandparents after not seeing them for several years and the very first thing they said when they saw me was how handsome I was. I never thought feeling this much cringe and rage at the same time was possible. How can a relative, you love so dearly lie straight to your face?? Do they think I am retarded and actually believe them? If they themselves believe the bullshit they're spewing why weren't they curious why I sit in my room all day and don't have a girlfriend. It is clear as day that they're just mocking me. They are dead to me.
