In the affair surrounding Bundestag member Stefan Gelbhaar (Bündnis90/Die Grünen), other people are becoming the focus of a possible intrigue. There are many indications that the office of Berlin MP Ario Mirzaie is even more involved in the case than previously known.
Last week, Mirzaie's employee Shirin Kreße had already resigned from her offices and resigned from the Greens after it became known that she had filed false harassment allegations against Stefan Gelbhaar at RBB. Under the fictitious name "Anne K.", Kreße had apparently affirmed under oath that she had been kissed by Gelbhaar against her will. A lie, as it became known last week.
Now another name from Mirzaie's environment is emerging: Hacer Aydemir, 29, known as Haco, also an employee of his until recently. According to research by the Berliner Zeitung, Aydemir's place of residence is almost identical to that stated in "Anne K.'s" affidavit. Chance? Aydemir could not be reached for an inquiry from the Berliner Zeitung on Thursday.
Ario Mirzai replied at 7 p.m.: He was "appalled that apparently false accusations were made against Stefan Gelbhaar, which have led to enormous damage." He himself had "first learned of the false affidavit through the retracted RBB reporting". And further: "The fact that a suspicion falls on two former employees of mine shocks me. Neither of them work for me anymore."
Stefan Gelbhaar had renounced his candidacy for second place on the Green state list for the Bundestag election on December 14 because of the harassment allegations. This did not lead to a candidacy against Andreas Audretsch, Robert Habeck's campaign manager, as originally planned. According to reports, Gelbhaar did not have much chance of winning against Audretsch anyway. Because first and third place in the Greens is reserved exclusively for women, the next possible place for him would have been number four.
Hacer Aydemir surprisingly competed in this fourth place on December 14. She is considered largely unknown by the Greens. Many in the party, one hears, were surprised by her application for a place so far ahead. In addition, she competed there against Hanna Steinmüller, the direct candidate of her own district association in Berlin-Mitte. In the end, Aydemir lost to Steinmüller and is now running in a hopeless 13th place for the Bundestag election.
Green circles say that Aydemir and Shirin Kreße are closely acquainted with each other. A few days earlier, on December 9, Kreße had been the first person to speak publicly of "serious harassment allegations against Stefan Gelbhaar" in a Zoom meeting of the left wing of the party. In the days that followed, between December 11 and 13, a total of 18 reports against Gelbhaar were received by the party's ombudsman's office.
The Berlin Greens are now speculating wildly about what the new information could mean. One story that can be heard again and again in conversations this Thursday goes like this: If Gelbhaar had not withdrawn his candidacy for second place – and in the event of a defeat against Audretsch, also for fourth place – despite the harassment allegations, an unknown Hacer Aydemir might have been able to win against him.
Aydemir has represented the Mitte district association as a state delegate since the beginning of 2024. In 2022, she was part of the campaign organization of Green MP Taylan Kurt. The self-description of her Instagram profile reads: "Your favorite cunt for bundestag".
