The differences in this world are truly astonishing. There are people so high in poverty they struggle to survive, and there are people owning so much they can afford hundreds of luxury villas. It is similar in regards to dating. There are bottom of the barrel truecel monsters who won't ever receive even the slightest genuine warmth and sign of validation or attraction, and then there are people who have sex multiple times, and get so much validation and positive affirmation they can't even consume it. Insane.

But if you don't suffer how will nature make sure it didn't random some sort of 'niche' winning genetics?
I mean how nature works is it randoms genetics, and most of what it makes is utter trash, it's up to the creature to try everything it can to make it's genetics work, maybe it will find some niche where it's particular brand of junk works surprisingly well... Most of the time it just suffers and dies; an experiment failed.

You can choose to participate, or not. It doesn't care. If you give up, it will just try to make the next generation less emotional so they can survive being experimented on until death.
