Gemini seems to be somewhat less censored in AI studio.

Or at least that used to be the case. I haven't used gemini on the standard web app in a long time to compare. Gemini, and most LLMs in general, can be reluctant (for a lack of a better word) to answer health related questions. The phrasing of the question matters. I'm sure part of it is to avoid any liability in case someone get sicks or dies because someone asked it something health related and it hallucinated.
Speaking of gemini, Gemini 3.5 pro should be coming out either this week or next. Supposedly google/deepmind is internally disappointed with its performance. Several prominent deepmind employees jumped ship recently for Anthropic. Google's has somehow fallen behind in the AI race despite them having had a large head start, and having more resources and compute compared to their competition.
Anthropic seems to be way ahead of the competition right now, which is a shame since they're also the most safetyist out of the frontier labs. Mythos is (or
was seeing how it's currently banned) an absolute beast when it wanted to be. But if you asked it anything related to health there was a high probability it would reroute your question to opus (much weaker model) without telling you. In addition to the whole potential legal liability, anthronic is also worried about people using AI to make bioweapons, so they overcorrected by making it just avoid answering anything related to health/biology. Still a pretty shitty thing to do to your customers. I still hope Mythos is unbanned soon because it was really powerful when it wasn't nerfing itself. Also I'm e/acc and banning AI sets a really dangerous precedent.
