Max Payne trilogy, while 2 was still pretty fun but not as fun as 1 (sequels story was kinda ass) the 3 completely ruined and killed series for good.

Dark Souls Trilogy, 1 was the peak and every sequel got worse in different way, 2 had shit enemy placement and too easy bosses while 3 turned into linear Hatsune Miku rhythm boss slaying game and Souls games stayed that way till today (minus the linearity)

Dawn of War Trilogy, 2 had much smaller scope than 1 with awful unbalanced mp (orks were too op) and 3 was nothing but a laughing stock.

Fable Trilogy, 2 is just weaker and less fun 1 and 3 is total dogshit.

FEAR Trilogy, 1 was the peak and games only got worse with each game.

Deus Ex """""trilogy""""""", lmao fuck Invisible war and fuck Human Revolution, in reality it's a Quadrology and only MD managed to create good sandbox environment for your character that matches the og game but that game was underfunded and failed.

Destroy All Humans, first game was the peak

Please explain how. I haven't played these. Ik assassin's creed 1 is more of a stealth game while the following games become more action based
The first games are great, but as you play the other ones you will realize that the gameplay is almost identical to all the previous parts, it's like 1 good joke that keeps getting repeated by the weird kid to earn as much laughs as possible because he doesn't really have anything else in use

Bioshock 1 was a spooky fps limited resource game with a well made story and characters (with multiple twists and character arcs) extra story through the tapes you can collect that add to the atmosphere and can explainbsome of the environmental story telling.

Bioschock 2 was less atmospheric and an extremely hand holding story the gun fighting was cool tho. Minerva's den (the dlc) had a better story than the entire main game because it had an actual twist. They expanded on some gameplay elements but it was a lackluster experience but kinda fun.

Bioshock infinite is a shit show. Throw out everything that made bioshock 1 & 2 good (survival, limited resources, spooky setting, compelling characters) and turn it into an action adventure game with a railroaded story. They had multiple different story beats going on at once and they never gave any of them their full attention, right as it got slightly good the game immediately jumps into a new (often worse) story beat to focus on.
In the other games you had to think of strategy to how to combo the plasmids with guns and what ammo type to use, in bioshock infinite yoy just point, shoot, walk to next battle arena and repeat until credits.
They completely ditched the weapon wheel of having all of them at all times in favor of a 2 gun system (which blows).
You can never run out of a resource because your babied by the game.
You can completely ignore the powers in combat in favor of just shooting everything.

Tldr: the series goes from S to B+ to D-
First was immaculate gameplay with a great story and voice acting.
Second was good but too much escort missions and hand holding.
They gave up on originality on the 3rd in favor of the generic action shooters of the time.

So basically the games get more and more dumbed down in favor of pursuing unachievable grander story? How unfortunate. This is a tend in games that have big money behind them. They continually get casualised to chase a larger audience. Rip

(i recommend u play the first as it is really good and maybe play the second impaired to get maximum enjoyment)
 
Danganronpa 1's only issue was that a lot of the side-characters were really useless, but other than that it's real solid. DR2's MC is an annoying cuck and DR3 screws with everything that the other games build upon, makes the rest of the cast super lame, it has a shitty ending, and the story just wasn't as good as the other ones.
 
Metroid Prime. Not that 3 is bad but it's definitely the weakest of the trilogy imho

FEAR 3 is absolute cheeks tbh. It was only fun to play it with a friend. We beat it in 4.5 hours.

Eh, i disagree. Doom 1 is pretty fun. I agree on Doom 3 tho. Doom 3 isn't bad but it's nothing like first two.

Assassin creed 1 may be more of "stealth" game than its sequels that followed it but it's very shallow one at best and very repetitive game. Though to its credit it is probably the only game of the series that is most true to the fantasy of playing an medieval assassin. The other games went an completely different direction and of course series became more action focused. Instead of on stealth and subterfuge.

Dead Space

With each successive title being less scary and more action-oriented, it speedrunned the Resident Evil cycle. The first game is very cerebral and scary like the original RE games. Dead Space 2 is like RE4 in that while the game is still fun, the survival horror elements have clearly taken a backseat. Dead Space 3 is like RE5 and RE6 in that both the gameplay and horror feels watered down for normies.

Marvel Ultimate Alliance... that shit went to shit as soon as the second one came out (based on the Civil War comic series - which sucked ass). I fucking hated the sequel... then, 10-15 years later, finally a 3rd entry came out and it look'd / play'd like absolute trash. It looks like a fucking mobile game... so shit. Also, I believe it was ONLY on the Wii-U or whatever the fuck. Also, of course, instead of using the classic characters from the actual Marvel comics, they depict them with their faggy MCU versions... which are all cuck'd. Spider-Man turned into Spider-Boy somehow... how can you call those games "sequels" if they aren't even canonically connected? MUA was a great game, a fucking gem back in 2006. Its sequels are fagshit.

It’s not exactly a trilogy, but the Metal Gear Solid series really went downhill with each new entry. MGS4 was a total mess, and MGSV: The Phantom Pain was just as bad, though the gameplay itself was amazing.

I hate that Big Boss gets a peaceful ending. They completely butchered Solidus just to give BB this forced heroic death. I would've much preferred him being taken out by Solid Snake in Zanzibar Land. Plus, MGSV ruins Big Boss's journey to becoming the evil bastard we know. We’re literally playing as a random medic stand-in cuckboy.

Ground Zeroes showed promise, but Phantom Pain completely tanked it with Taco Bell diarrhea levels of storytelling.
 
I liked the hitman trilogy imo, especially with all the added content up until the end.
