In my humble opinion, the ps2 is not a retro console. The machine's architecture and game catalog are similar to what modern gaming offers today, even if the 6th generation console has the advantage of not having dlcs and micro transactions.
The latest retro consoles are the GameBoy advance and Dreamcast. If you want to play a game with a yakuza atmosphere, I recommend Shenmue.

Crash Simulator Multiplayer on the site Playhop is a fun multiplayer car game with a bunch of supercars to choose from. Free Rally Vice is also fun even though it's more of a kids game. It's fun to go on that game with the big truck and ram the other players around. There's also some cool single player crash simulator games on Playhop. I want to get Beam NG though, because it's one of the best crash simulator games out there.
