I really liked games still do. I played games my entire life. Back when I was a school goer everyday I come home and have a good time with my games. The day I purchased crysis was one of my better days.
Now a days it became a cope. I didnt want it to be cope. but it became involuntarily. 'Incope' would be an appropriate term.

We are just worthless dust on a flying rock that orbits a ball of nuclear fusion called Sun

Enjoy it while it lasts

I have a more logical view on this. Once we die we go back to nothing.

You will feel exactly what you felt before you were born: an eternal nothingness that has no space and no time. Nothing

It's crazy if you think about it, every night our brain stops most of our cognitive functions and we don't perceive the time we pass sleeping.

Now imagine what happens after our brain dies.
We stop perceiving time completely, to us, 1 second after our death could mean 1.000000.00000 years in real world,

Our universe could basically end right after our death :feelswhere:

yeah probably and its logical BUT there is something more going on. Ever had dejvu . where you dream something and whatever you see in the dream it may be some random day to day activity and days or weeks later it happens. My conclusion is there are multiple timelines or multiverses where the same exact thing is happening. Either way its over.

Games were always escapism, since real life is boring if you are not rich enough.
You can play Assetto Corsa, or Project Cars, Gran Turismo, Forza etc.. and feel like a true car collector.
IRL, that´s an impossibility without winning the lottery OR coming from a wealthy background.

As for fantasy driven games, the same applies.
Life is boring without vidya.
